Description

Decadent Hot Chocolate Brownie Bites made with a boxed brownie mix filled with melted chocolate kisses, topped with a smooth, stabilized white chocolate whipped cream, and garnished with mini marshmallows, peppermint sticks, and chocolate sauce for a festive treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Bites

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on box: oil, eggs, water)
  • 24 chocolate kisses

Stabilized Whipped Cream

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 Tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons instant white chocolate pudding mix

Garnish

  • Peppermint sticks, chopped
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Chocolate sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 24-cup mini muffin pan using nonstick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Brownie Batter: Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions, combining the mix with oil, eggs, and water as specified.
  3. Fill Muffin Cups: Fill each mini muffin cup about two-thirds full with the brownie batter to allow room for rising and chocolate kisses.
  4. Bake Brownies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft and slightly underbaked.
  5. Add Chocolate Kisses: Immediately after removing from the oven, press one chocolate kiss upside down into the center of each brownie cup. Optionally, use a thin spatula or spoon to smooth the melting chocolate and create a cocoa-like appearance.
  6. Cool and Remove: Allow the brownie bites to cool completely in the pan before transferring them to a cooling rack. Use a paring knife to gently pop the brownie bites out of the muffin pan.
  7. Make Stabilized Whipped Cream: In a very cold bowl, whip the heavy cream on high speed until it begins to thicken. Add powdered sugar and continue whipping until soft peaks form. Then add the instant white chocolate pudding mix and whip until stiff peaks form, being careful not to overmix to avoid curdling.
  8. Decorate Bites: Once the brownies are fully cooled, pipe the stabilized whipped cream onto each bite. Garnish with mini marshmallows, chopped peppermint sticks, sprinkles, and drizzle with chocolate sauce as desired.

Notes

  • Use your favorite boxed brownie mix for convenience and consistent results.
  • Ensure the whipping bowl and whisk are very cold to help cream stabilize better.
  • If you don't have white chocolate pudding mix, vanilla pudding mix can be used but will alter the flavor slightly.
  • Let the brownie bites cool fully before decorating to prevent melting of the whipped cream.
  • Store assembled brownie bites in the refrigerator to maintain the whipped cream topping.
