Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy pieces of sirloin steak seared to golden perfection and tossed in a luscious garlic butter sauce with a hint of red pepper flakes. This quick and flavorful dish is perfect for a satisfying dinner, entertaining guests, or snacking.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • pound sirloin steak, cut into bite size pieces (or strip loin, tenderloin, strip steak, or rib eye)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon pepper (or to taste)

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil: Add the olive oil to a large skillet and heat it over high heat until hot.
  2. Cook Steak Bites: Add the steak pieces to the hot oil. Season generously with salt and pepper. Let them cook undisturbed for at least 2 minutes to get a good sear. Stir and continue cooking another 2 minutes until golden brown. If your skillet is small, cook in batches.
  3. Set Aside Steak: Transfer the cooked steak bites to a plate to rest.
  4. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 30 seconds while stirring until the garlic becomes aromatic and lightly browned.
  5. Toss and Garnish: Pour the garlic butter over the steak bites and toss well to coat. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use a large skillet to avoid overcrowding the steak, which helps achieve a good sear.
  • For extra flavor, let the steak pieces come to room temperature before cooking.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred heat level or omit for a milder taste.
  • Can substitute sirloin with rib eye or tenderloin depending on preference and availability.
  • Serve with sides like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
