Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 (12-ounce) package Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls (such as King’s Hawaiian)
- 3 cups shredded chicken breast
- ¾ cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot or Frank's Buffalo)
- ¼ cup ranch dressing (Greek-yogurt based recommended)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or provolone or Havarti), divided
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Place a rack in the center of your oven and preheat to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Buns: Without separating them at the sides, slice the slider buns horizontally in half and place the bottom halves in the center of the prepared baking sheet.
- Mix Chicken Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the hot Buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
- Assemble Sliders: Sprinkle a small handful of the shredded cheese over the bottom buns, then evenly distribute the Buffalo chicken mixture on top. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the chicken layer.
- Add Top Buns and Brush Butter: Place the top halves of the buns over the chicken and cheese. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with Italian seasoning and brush this mixture generously over the tops of the buns.
- Bake: Bake the assembled sliders for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese melts and the tops turn golden brown.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and transfer to a cutting board. Let them cool for a few minutes, then carefully slice apart using a serrated knife and serve warm.
Notes
- Use Greek-yogurt based ranch dressing for a creamy, tangy flavor with less fat.
- Keep the slider buns connected on the sides when slicing to assemble them easily on a baking sheet.
- Choose your preferred melty cheese such as mozzarella, provolone, or Havarti for different flavor profiles.
- Brush the buttery Italian seasoning mixture generously to enhance the flavor and help the tops brown nicely.
- These sliders are best served warm and fresh for optimal melty cheese texture and tender bread.
- Perfect for game day or quick weeknight snacks, ready in about 20 minutes total.
